About Pikaboo Pixels

Pikaboo Pixels is my personal art studio that encourages me to share my work and be proud of my growth as an artist! The name Pikaboo Pixels comes from my peek-a-boo playing parrots and my everlasting love for retro gaming. You'll see my art ooze inspiration from games, movies, music, 90's-00's pop culture, pastels, Halloween-y horror and so much more. Here are some examples of my work.

About me as an artist

I'm a self-taught digital artist, and I began doodling as early as 5 years old. I started with pencils and markers, and throughout school, explored a multitude of mediums from charcoals and mixed-media to acrylics and scratch art.I majored in art during college, and studied at the Alabama Center of the Arts. Within that same time frame, I began exploring digital art with a digital tablet.I started with a Monoprice and worked up to a Wacom Intuos; Now, I begin my work with Clip Studio on a Surface Pro, and finalize my work on an iPad Pro.

About Me as a Person

I'm a neurodivergent, nonbinary Afro-Puerto Rican. That's a mouthful, I know!I was born in New York and raised in Utah, but after graduating from high school, I moved to Alabama to be with my husband. While there, I studied art and culture before coming back to Utah.Video games, movies, TV shows, anime and music are my raison d'être.I have a three-legged dog, two black cats, and four parrots; My animals are my children and I love them each dearly.
